What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Care & Maintenance Specialist position at The Ruff Ranch?
The Ruff Ranch is looking for a reliable, practical, and self-motivated person to support the ongoing maintenance of our facility and outdoor property.
This is a hands-on, part-time position for someone who can identify what needs to be done, manage tasks independently, and take ownership of keeping the property safe, functional, and well maintained.
What You’ll Do
- Handle general maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintain dog yards, fencing, gates, walkways, and outdoor play areas
- Complete basic landscaping and gardening tasks
- Mow, trim, weed, rake, and remove debris
- Inspect the property and identify needed repairs or safety concerns
- Repair or replace damaged fixtures, fencing, gates, and equipment
- Assist with painting, pressure washing, and improvement projects
- Keep tools, materials, and maintenance areas organized
- Work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently
- Help with additional property projects as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in maintenance, handyman work, landscaping, construction, or groundskeeping preferred
- Comfortable using basic tools and completing minor repairs
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Proactive and able to recognize what needs attention
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working outdoors and around dogs of all sizes
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver’s license preferred
