We are seeking a proactive and versatile Property Caretaker & Hospitality Support professional to oversee the maintenance, security, and hospitality functions of our property. This person will take pride in maintaining beautiful properties, has strong attention to detail, enjoys staying busy, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support the operation.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on facilities management with exceptional guest service.
Responsibilities
- Daily property walks and inspections
- Groundskeeping and landscape maintenance
- Blowing leaves, maintaining gravel areas, trimming hedges, monitoring irrigation, checking landscape lighting, and keeping the property looking pristine at all times
- Minor handyman repairs and preventative maintenance
- Deep cleaning projects and physical labor as needed
- Receiving deliveries and organizing supplies
- Running errands including Costco runs and local supply pickups
- Picking up fresh food, flowers, wine, guest amenities, and other items for the property
- Supporting breakfast operations when needed
- Assisting with wedding and event setup and breakdown
- Monitoring vendors and contractors on-site
- Maintaining storage rooms, workshops, and back-of-house areas
- Assisting guests when appropriate
- Potentially transporting guests to wineries, restaurants, and local destinations if the candidate is polished, professional, and has a clean driving record
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or property management
- Supervising experience in a maintenance or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences..
- Ability to lead projects confidently while ensuring safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to independently conduct routine property inspections and proactively identify maintenance, safety, or appearance concerns.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
- Professional demeanor with strong customer service and hospitality skills when interacting with guests, vendors, contractors, and team members.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to safely operate company or personal vehicles for property-related errands and potential guest transportation.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and occasional on-call hours based on guest needs, events, and property operations.
- Technologically proficient and comfortable using digital tools, property management systems, mobile applications, and communication platforms to support daily operations and guest services.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
