Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fiber Cement Siding Project Manager to oversee commercial and/or multifamily siding projects from preconstruction through final completion. This position requires a highly knowledgeable siding professional who understands fiber cement installation, project sequencing, subcontractor management, quality control, and jobsite operations.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of relevant construction/project management experience and a high degree of technical knowledge of siding systems, particularly fiber cement products and installation methods.

This is a hands-on project management role requiring approximately 50% travel to jobsites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage fiber cement siding projects from initial planning through completion and closeout.
  • Coordinate project schedules, manpower, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and site logistics.
  • Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, shop drawings, and project requirements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of fiber cement siding installation requirements, details, flashing, weather barriers, trims, penetrations, clearances, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Ensure field installations meet company quality standards, manufacturer requirements, project specifications, and applicable building codes.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits and inspections to monitor production, workmanship, safety, and schedule performance.
  • Identify potential installation or construction issues and develop practical solutions before they impact the project.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, owners, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members.
  • Manage material procurement and deliveries to ensure projects remain properly supplied.
  • Monitor project budgets, labor productivity, material usage, change orders, and overall job profitability.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, and project documentation.
  • Hold subcontractors accountable for workmanship, production, schedule, safety, and jobsite cleanliness.
  • Provide regular project updates to company leadership.
  • Manage project closeout, including punch-list completion and final acceptance.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of construction experience, preferably involving siding, exterior cladding, building envelope, or related scopes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing siding installation projects.
  • High degree of technical knowledge of siding systems and installation practices.
  • Strong knowledge of fiber cement siding, including proper installation methods and manufacturer requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, details, and scopes of work.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, flashing, moisture management, weather-resistant barriers, and exterior envelope details.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and field crews effectively.
  • Strong scheduling, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with general contractors, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable working independently and making field-level decisions.
  • Proficiency with standard construction/project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with James Hardie or comparable fiber cement siding systems.
  • Commercial and/or multifamily construction experience.
  • Experience managing multiple siding projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of estimating, takeoffs, purchasing, and project cost management.
  • Familiarity with additional exterior cladding and building-envelope systems.

What Success Looks Like

The successful Fiber Cement Siding Project Manager will combine strong technical siding knowledge with disciplined project management. This person will be comfortable walking a jobsite, identifying improper installation details, communicating expectations to subcontractors, resolving field conditions, and managing the financial and scheduling responsibilities of the project.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their projects and consistently delivers quality installations, satisfied customers, strong subcontractor performance, and profitable project results.
