Role Description
The Manufacturer Representative - Outside Sales role is a full-time hybrid position based in the front range of CO, with flexibility to work remotely part-time. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining client relationships, managing sales accounts, presenting at trade shows, delivering product training, and leading negotiations to close sales. The role requires travel within the designated territory to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree preferred (but not required) or past technical selling knowledge.
- Experience in a customer-facing role that includes identifying and addressing customer needs. Understanding that you will not always know all the answers but will quickly seek out an internal source to help with the application.
- Technical knowledge of air handling equipment and/or waste water systems would be very helpful but is not required.
- Prior success in sales of industrial engineered products sold to end users would be very helpful but is not required.
- Computer software (including Windows, Word, Excel, CRM’s, and Order Entry) experience in an office environment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY SET:
- High School diploma.
- Valid driver’s license; reliable and presentable personal transportation.
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve and maintain a high energy level brings success in this position.
- Ability to periodically travel by car to customer locations outside of Greater Denver Area may require hotel stays – likely 0-4 nights per month average.
- Professional presentation; is confident, assertive and displays a high level of self-esteem.
- Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to effectively communicate to all levels of management, both internally and externally.
- Strong active listening skills; gives full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions when appropriate, and letting others fully state their ideas.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and manage many jobs simultaneously and able to “cross-sell” different but related products.
