Substitute TeacherLocation: The Riverside Church in the City of New York (New York, NY)Reports to: Head of Weekday SchoolDepartment: Weekday SchoolScheduled Work Week: 9:00am to 2:00pmSalary Range: $25 an hour Job Summary:Substitute teacher needed basis to cover classrooms when regular teachers are absent who will aid in daily routines, support classroom activities and ensure the safety of all students in a small preschool/kindergarten school.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Supporting classroom teachers in daily activities as well as cover for team members during absences or breaks.Must ensure safety and maintain general health for all students. Must be comfortable with assisting mealtimes, toileting and rest time. Comply with all rules and regulations of the Weekday School at Riverside Church and local, state and national agencies. Maintain an overall professional appearance.Able to participate in physical activities throughout the day.Qualifications:Early childhood experience is neededBachelor’s Degree preferredStrong interpersonal skills and commitment to the ethics of good character, humility, and servant leadership.Solid commitment to the success and well-being of childrenSatisfactory drug test and satisfactory background check for criminal and child protective findings.
