Laundry Aide

Overview:

The Laundry Aide provides laundry services that provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Sorts, washes, dries, folds and irons linens and resident clothing
• Stocks linen closets and carts for nursing units, and returns linen barrels to the laundry
• Delivers clean linen and resident clothing to rooms
• Performs routine equipment cleaning such as removing detergent build-up in washers and cleaning lint traps
• Performs other tasks as assigned
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Conduct, its policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior housekeeping / Laundry experience in an institutional setting preferred
• Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred
• Must possess outstanding communication skills and be able to follow oral and written instructions
