What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Control and Quality Information Systems Intern position at THE RITEDOSE CORPORATION?
The Process Control and Quality Information Systems (QIS) Intern will work alongside experienced engineers and analysts to support ongoing upgrades, system improvements, and digital transformation initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands on exposure to real manufacturing IT/OT systems while building foundational skills in data management, software configuration, and quality systems.
Interns will gain introductory knowledge of key platforms including Syncade MES, Freeweigh, and LIMS SampleManager, while contributing to meaningful project work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the configuration and setup of the latest Freeweigh version installation.
- Perform basic static data transfers and support data accuracy initiatives.
- Support routine SQL database maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues under supervision
- Help apply hotfix updates within the Syncade MES and learn how system changes are validated and documented.
- Participate in testing and validating system upgrades to ensure proper functionality.
- Enter and maintain part data within LIMS SampleManager.
- Assist with form input and documentation updates in MasterControl, supporting quality and compliance workflows.
- Contribute to the development of updated training materials related to new system upgrades and enhancements.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- Exposure to software systems or laboratory/quality systems through coursework, labs, or academic projects (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, basic formulas, and spreadsheet organization.
- Foundational understanding of XML, SQL, and Python, gained through coursework, labs, or personal projects.
