The Director of Finance will partner closely with the CFO and leadership team to strengthen financial performance, improve reporting visibility, and support long-term growth and sustainability.

This full-time, hybrid position plays a senior leadership role in supporting company-wide financial strategy, governance, forecasting, cash flow planning, and executive decision-making. The Director of Finance will partner closely with the CFO and leadership team to strengthen financial performance, improve reporting visibility, and support long-term growth and sustainability.
Essential Job Duties
- Partner with the CFO to develop and execute company-wide financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, rolling projections, and multi-year financial planning processes.
- Build and maintain financial models tied to key operational drivers including utilization, backlog, project mix, resource capacity, revenue, margin, and cash flow.
- Support monthly close process improvements in partnership with Accounting and Operations to improve accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and insight to executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, investments, hiring plans, capital planning, and business decisions.
- Support merger, acquisition, and strategic investment activities including due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and post-acquisition performance tracking.
- Lead company-wide cash flow forecasting, liquidity analysis, treasury planning, banking relationship support, and covenant compliance in coordination with the CFO.
- Evaluate financing strategies, investment policies, asset allocation, liquidity needs, and risk parameters to support company objectives.
- Serve as a financial liaison for ESOP valuation activities, trustee communications, financial due diligence, and annual share price determination.
- Support governance and administration of 401(k), profit-sharing, and investment committee activities in partnership with HR and external advisors.
- Partner with sales leadership to analyze pipeline, commission structures, and quarterly sales commission calculations.
- Collaborate with Business Process and Operations teams to improve financial systems, reporting tools, productivity metrics, utilization tracking, and project management visibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
- 10 years of progressive experience across Accounting and Finance roles, including financial leadership experience within complex organizations.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent advanced credential preferred.
- Strong background in FP&A, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, treasury, and executive reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills and hands-on financial data analysis experience required.
- Experience supporting M&A, strategic investments, capital planning, or investment governance preferred.
- Ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership.
- Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and cross-functional partnership skills.
- Must demonstrate sound judgment, high accountability, professional discretion, and a commitment to long-term organizational success.
- Competitive compensation depending on experience, ranging from $150k to $220k base discretionary bonus
- Hybrid schedule: 1-3 days on-site each week, depending on business needs.
- Office is based in Hopkins/Eden Prairie, MN.
- Standard business hours: Monday–Friday, with flexibility based on business needs.
