Compensation: $55,000 – $75,000 growth opportunity
Schedule: Full-time | evenings & weekends required
About the Role
We are hiring a hands-on Assistant General Manager to help lead a high-volume, kitchen-driven dining concept. This role is ideal for a strong operator who thrives in fast-paced environments, can bring structure to daily operations, and is comfortable leading from the kitchen during peak service.
This is a build-and-stabilize leadership opportunity with real operational ownership and room for growth.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of day-to-day restaurant operations
- Lead service during high-volume periods
- Oversee kitchen execution, prep, and quality control
- Ensure consistency in food, timing, and guest experience
- Train, coach, and develop kitchen team members
- Help build SOPs, systems, and operational structure
- Support hiring and team development
- Assist with inventory awareness and cost control
- Act as the bridge between ownership and the team
Ideal Background
- Experience in Korean BBQ, Asian cuisine, or American BBQ strongly preferred
- Background in high-volume, kitchen-heavy operations
- Comfortable managing mixed-language teams (English Mandarin/Cantonese-speaking staff)
- Strong proactive leadership vs reactive management
- Hands-on operator who thrives in fast-paced environments
- Ability to build structure where systems are still developing
- Willing to be deeply involved in kitchen execution when needed
- Assistant GM, Kitchen Manager, or strong Assistant Manager ready to step up
