Assistant GM – High-Volume, Kitchen-Driven Concept | $55K–$75K

Location: San Francisco, CA (Inner Sunset)
Compensation: $55,000 – $75,000 growth opportunity
Schedule: Full-time | evenings & weekends required


About the Role

We are hiring a hands-on Assistant General Manager to help lead a high-volume, kitchen-driven dining concept. This role is ideal for a strong operator who thrives in fast-paced environments, can bring structure to daily operations, and is comfortable leading from the kitchen during peak service.

This is a build-and-stabilize leadership opportunity with real operational ownership and room for growth.


What You’ll Do

  • Take ownership of day-to-day restaurant operations
  • Lead service during high-volume periods
  • Oversee kitchen execution, prep, and quality control
  • Ensure consistency in food, timing, and guest experience
  • Train, coach, and develop kitchen team members
  • Help build SOPs, systems, and operational structure
  • Support hiring and team development
  • Assist with inventory awareness and cost control
  • Act as the bridge between ownership and the team


Ideal Background

  • Experience in Korean BBQ, Asian cuisine, or American BBQ strongly preferred
  • Background in high-volume, kitchen-heavy operations
  • Comfortable managing mixed-language teams (English Mandarin/Cantonese-speaking staff)
  • Strong proactive leadership vs reactive management
  • Hands-on operator who thrives in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to build structure where systems are still developing
  • Willing to be deeply involved in kitchen execution when needed
  • Assistant GM, Kitchen Manager, or strong Assistant Manager ready to step up
