Job Summary: The Bartender/Server will be responsible for providing outstanding service to our guests by preparing and serving beverages, taking orders, and delivering food in a timely manner. This role requires a blend of excellent customer service skills, multitasking abilities, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Bartender Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Check identification to verify guests are of legal drinking age.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and ensure accurate billing.
- Engage with guests to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- Monitor and manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of alcohol.
Server Duties:
- Greet and seat guests, provide menus, and offer recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and ensure guests’ needs are met.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or special requests.
- Prepare tables for new guests, including clearing and resetting tables.
- Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Assist with other duties as needed, such as restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender is required
- Previous experience as a server is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating tabs.
- Knowledge of alcohol laws and regulations.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
