The Payroll & Benefits Specialist plays an essential part in creating exceptional employee experience at The Remedy. This role ensures every team member feels valued and supported through accurate pay, meaningful benefits, and excellent service. You will work closely with HR and Finance to maintain payroll integrity, manage benefit programs, and provide trusted support to employees.

What You’ll Do:
Payroll Administration
- Process biweekly payroll for all employees with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update payroll records including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and accruals.
- Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll data, ensure accurate general ledger coding, and prepare reports.
- Facilitate during the full lifecycle of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and alike.
- Maintain compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on benefit options and eligibility.
- Deliver responsive, compassionate service for all payroll and benefits matters.
- Support leave management processes such as FMLA, parental leave, and disability, ensuring alignment with payroll and benefits systems.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and leadership on reporting, process improvements, and special projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
What You’ll Need:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of three years of payroll and benefits administration experience; multi-state experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Employee Navigator and payroll systems such as BambooHR.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and benefits compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High integrity and a commitment to confidentiality.
