Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Oversight
- Supervise and support nursing staff during weekend shifts
- Deliver and monitor quality resident care based on individualized care plans
- Ensure all care complies with facility policies, state/federal regulations, and best practices
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff
- Manage staff assignments and workflows for optimal care delivery
- Oversee weekend admissions, discharges, and physician communications
- Participate in daily shift change reports and maintain effective inter-shift communication
- Respond to and investigate incidents, accidents, and complaints as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in PointClickCare (PCC)
- Monitor compliance with medication administration protocols and physician orders
- Support infection control practices and safety policies
- Participate in MDS coordination and care planning processes
- Supervise and evaluate weekend nursing staff performance
- Assist with staff education, coaching, and in-service training
- Promote positive team culture and employee relations
- Provide hands-on nursing care, including medication administration and wound care
- Handle emergencies and respond to changes in resident condition
- Document assessments, interventions, and resident outcomes
- Active RN License in the state of Missouri (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (preferred)
- BLS/CPR Certification required
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with EHR systems (PointClickCare experience a plus)
- Weekend leadership role with autonomy and support
