Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Psychiatrist role based in Ocklawaha, FL. The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, differential diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans for adults with PTSD, trauma-related disorders, substance use disorders, process addictions, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Daily responsibilities include prescribing and managing psychotropic medications, monitoring treatment response and side effects, and adjusting care plans as clinically indicated. The Psychiatrist will collaborate closely with therapists, medical providers, nursing staff, and case managers to support integrated, trauma-informed care. Additional duties include documenting care in the medical record, participating in treatment team meetings, providing crisis assessment and intervention, and contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Medicine and Psychiatry with the ability to diagnose and treat complex co-occurring conditions.
- Demonstrated experience in Psychiatric Care and Mental Health treatment in inpatient or residential settings.
- Familiarity with Adolescent Psychiatry is beneficial, especially for understanding developmental trauma and transitions to adult care.
- Experience or strong interest in trauma-informed, addiction, and PTSD-focused psychiatric practice.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completed residency in Psychiatry; fellowship training in addiction psychiatry or related subspecialty is a plus.
- Current, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the state of Florida and board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills for working within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Commitment to ethical, evidence-based, person-centered care and to serving individuals from diverse backgrounds.
