Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly attitude and assist them upon arrival
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using Toast POS system
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest experience
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing accurate information and reservations assistance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold a welcoming atmosphere
- Collaborate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service flow
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns courteously, demonstrating excellent guest relations and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a positive, energetic attitude
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Toast is advantageous
- Previous hospitality experience is a plus
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices
