Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a seamless dining experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional guest relations in a restaurant or hotel setting.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow, through Open Table.
- Maintain an organized wait list during peak hours and communicate wait times accurately to guests.
- Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions.
- Assist with guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with management to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS, for orders when necessary.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the restrooms, host/host area at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or guest services is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Aloha POS, is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this role.
