Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials
- Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns courteously and resolving issues promptly
- Keep the host/host station organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies to support daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous host/host experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service setting preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests
- Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Knowledge of hotel or hospitality industry standards is a plus
- Exceptional customer service skills, including active listening and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Familiarity with guest services, serving protocols, and restaurant operations is advantageous
