What are the responsibilities and job description for the Northridge Internal Medicine - Billing Account Specialist position at The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia?
These roles are responsible for overseeing the entire process of billing, collecting, and reconciling patient accounts. Revenue cycle staff manage claims submission, payment processing, and account resolution to ensure that the university healthcare system captures and maximizes revenue while maintaining compliance with regulations.
Individual contributors who provide support to an organization, often in direct service, operational, technical or administrative functions. Spends majority of time in the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision. Opportunities for progression outside this career stream are typically limited without additional education or significant training and experience.
Fully competent and productive individual contributor. Works under moderate supervision. Problems are typically of a routine nature, but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. Makes minor adjustments to working methods. Communicates information that requires explanation or interpretation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
Licensure: None required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.

Hours: 7:30-16:00 M-F OR 8:00-16:30 M-F
The pay range for this role is $12.77 - $32.63 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.Benefits
