As the Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist for the Neurology Oncology Clinic, you'll be at the forefront of transforming outpatient cancer care through precision medication management and seamless care transitions.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver expert medication therapy management for patients with complex neurologic malignancies in an ambulatory setting.
- Collaborate closely with neuro-oncology physicians, infusion center teams, and specialty pharmacy to optimize treatment outcomes.
- Support advanced therapies including oral oncolytics, immunotherapies, and investigational agents.
- Drive continuity of care across inpatient, outpatient, and infusion services-ensuring safe transitions and improved patient experience.
- Enhance UVA prescription capture through proactive engagement with UVA specialty and retail pharmacy services.
- Educate and mentor pharmacy learners and contribute to continuous professional development across the care team.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's in Pharmacy or Pharm. D Degree required.
- Experience: PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience. (3.years). PGY-2 residency is preferred for specialty areas.
- Licensure/Certifications: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy. License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider. BLS certification required.
Physical Demands - Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; Repetitive motion: typing. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
Onboarding Requirements
Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen.
The starting base rate for this role is $64.37 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.Benefits
