Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of outbound and inbound shipments.
- Manage inventory control procedures using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and AS400 to track stock levels and optimize warehouse space.
- Lead a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a productive work environment.
- Coordinate warehouse distribution efforts, including materials handling, heavy lifting, and forklift operations, while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline shipping & receiving workflows.
- Oversee compliance with safety regulations related to OSHA and other industry standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with 3PL providers and internal departments to ensure seamless logistics operations for e-commerce and other distribution channels.
Skills
- Experience supervising shipping operations in a high-volume manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation and international shipping procedures.
- Experience with ERP systems and shipping processes.
- Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Leadership experience managing shipping teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software.
- Ability to analyze shipping metrics and improve performance.
