Assembly Technician

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components for frozen dessert equipment.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, work instructions, and bills of materials.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and testing equipment.
• Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting on completed units.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet safety and performance standards.
• Document test results, assembly records, and production data.
• Identify defects and work with supervisors or engineers to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company quality procedures and safety regulations.
• Assist with continuous improvement and process optimization efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in mechanical or electrical assembly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
