Position Summary

A Server at Koko’s on the Pier is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through attentive service, accurate order execution, and strong communication with both guests and team members. This role includes greeting guests, guiding menu selections, taking and delivering food and beverage orders, handling payments, and ensuring tables are maintained and clean throughout service. Servers are expected to provide knowledgeable, friendly service while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced, high-volume, beachfront environment.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and present menus in a friendly, professional manner
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items as appropriate
• Accurately take and input food and beverage orders into the POS system
• Communicate orders clearly to kitchen and bar teams
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely and organized manner
• Monitor guest needs and provide attentive, ongoing service throughout the dining experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, including resetting as needed
• Ensure table settings are properly arranged before and during service
• Present checks, process payments, and handle transactions accurately
• Assist with side work and additional duties as assigned by management
  
  

Job Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred

Experience: 1-2 years of server experience preferred

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to carry multiple plates and serve efficiently
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• Basic math and cash-handling ability
• Ability to remain organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Must be able to stand and remain on feet for the duration of a full shift without assistance
• Ability to move continuously throughout the shift, including walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to maintain focus, composure, and efficiency in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
