Job Summary
The Raven in Woods Bay is seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes while ensuring that all food is handled safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and dietary department guidelines.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus and assist in menu development.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking stations.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Participate in daily prep work to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly during service hours.
- Help maintain equipment, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
