Sales Associate (part-time/ full-time)

Sales Associate Position Summary:

The Sales Associate at The Range St. Louis West plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience in both the retail store and firearms training environment. This individual will be responsible for product sales, range safety, and customer education while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere. The ideal candidate is passionate about the firearms industry, committed to safety, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Minimum Requirements

· Must be at least 21 years of age

· Must pass a background screening

· Must have reliable transportation

· Must have High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

· Must be computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

· Must be able to lift 20 pounds repeatedly and 21-50 pounds intermittently

· Must be able to demonstrate safe firearms handling

· Must be willing to operate the range as Range Safety Officer (RSO)

Sales Associate Responsibilities

· Greeting and interacting with customers, developing trust and rapport to provide the best customer service possible

· Offer impartial advice and guidance based on the customer’s specific needs

· Assist with keeping display shelves stocked with merchandise

· Work with fellow team members to conduct sales and maintain the store’s appearance

· Efficiently communicate both with customers and employees

· Follow ATF and store policies and procedures when handling firearm sales

· Handle merchandise returns when necessary

· Maintain product and industry knowledge to best suit customer’s needs

· Maintain knowledge of current sales and specials

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Range Safety Officer Responsibilities

· Assign shooting lanes to customers

· Monitor the camera system ensuring all customers are being safe

· Assign and keep track of rental guns as they are being used

· Correct any unsafe handling of firearms in a tactful manner in accordance with store policies and procedures

Schedules and Shifts

· Part-time and full-time positions available

· Minimum of three shifts per week, Thursdays and Sundays are mandatory shifts.
