Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring timely communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales and guest satisfaction while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring proper food handling, sanitation, and presentation standards are met
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately at the end of each shift
- Build strong guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions or concerns promptly to foster repeat business
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience or food industry background preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and processing
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Proven ability in upselling, sales techniques, and providing exceptional customer service
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Experience in serving, bussing, hosting/hostess duties, or guest services highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment
