The Radical Hotel Asheville is a bold, design-forward boutique hotel in the River Arts District—home to three distinct food & beverage concepts: Golden Hour Restaurant (Michelin Recommended), Afterglow, and The Roof.
Our beverage program is creative, ingredient-driven, and rooted in genuine hospitality. We’re looking for a talented Bartender who loves craft cocktails, can move with confidence in a high-energy environment, and knows how to make guests feel taken care of.
What You’ll Do
As a Bartender, you’ll be responsible for creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional drinks, service, and vibe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide warm, professional, and engaging bar service
- Execute craft cocktails, beer, wine, and NA beverages with consistency and speed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar, wells, and storage areas
- Support service bar during peak volume with accuracy and urgency
- Guide guests through the menu with confident recommendations
- Assist with prep, batching, garnishes, and inventory rotation
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service procedures
- Work collaboratively with FOH BOH to ensure smooth service across outlets
This role may support shifts at Golden Hour, Afterglow, and/or The Roof depending on scheduling and business needs.

Job Qualifications
Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Hold a current Food Handler Card.
- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
- Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, and vouchers.
- Sufficient manual dexterity in hands to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.
- Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
- Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
- Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.
- Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
- Lifting Fifty (30) pounds maximum.
- Constant standing & walking required.
- Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
