Duties
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment plans
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes
- Provide specialized counseling for issues including addiction, grief, PTSD, gender identity concerns, chronic pain, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, geriatrics, and special education needs
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans and coordinate care with social workers, medical professionals, educators, and support staff
- Engage in clinical research activities and data collection to support continuous improvement of therapeutic approaches and patient outcomes
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field from an accredited institution
- Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential in WA state
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults or geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient settings; experience with hospital environments is highly desirable
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and experience delivering remote therapy sessions effectively
- Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic classification and billing purposes
- Expertise in evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology collaboration, and social work principles
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently while managing multiple cases simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients from diverse backgrounds and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
