We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child and Adolescent Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine clients’ mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), art therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Provide crisis intervention and conflict management to ensure client safety during urgent situations.
- Implement behavioral health strategies, including behavior management plans, to support clients with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Collect and document medical records, patient care notes, and treatment progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with case management teams, schools, social workers, and community care providers to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Utilize data collection methods to monitor treatment outcomes and adjust interventions accordingly for optimal client progress.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification as required by state law.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential in WA state.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and families in behavioral health or community care settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment techniques, and mental health diagnostic criteria.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations governing patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Strong skills in crisis management, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention strategies.
- Experience with applied behavior analysis (ABA), addiction counseling, PTSD care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to engage effectively with diverse populations using culturally sensitive approaches such as Christian counseling or gender issues counseling when appropriate. Pay: $40.00 - $65.00 per hour
