Position Summary
The facility is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Inpatient Neurologist (Hospitalist Neurologist) to join its hospital-based neurology team in Frederick, MD.
This role focuses on the evaluation and management of hospitalized patients with acute neurological conditions. Fresh graduates and early-career neurologists are encouraged to apply.

Essential Position Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations and inpatient consultations.

Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute neurological conditions, including stroke, seizure disorders, altered mental status, neuromuscular conditions, and movement disorders.

Collaborate closely with hospitalists, intensivists, emergency medicine physicians, and other specialists to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care.

Interpret neuroimaging, EEGs, and other diagnostic studies as clinically indicated.

Participate in daily inpatient rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).

Contribute to hospital quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and best-practice development.
Qualifications

Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Licensure & Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology; eligible for Maryland medical licensure.

Experience: Prior inpatient or hospital-based neurology experience preferred; strong new graduates and fellows are welcome to apply.

Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
