Position Summary
The facility is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join its dynamic Academic Hospitalist Team supporting the Internal Medicine Residency Program in Dothan, AL.
This is a full-time, hospital-employed position offering a rewarding blend of clinical care, resident teaching, and academic leadership within a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Essential Position Responsibilities

Provide high-quality inpatient care to hospitalized patients within a teaching service.

Supervise, mentor, and educate internal medicine residents and medical students in both clinical and didactic settings.

Participate in curriculum development, scholarly activities, and quality improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, evidence-based care.

Engage in clinical documentation and performance improvement to optimize patient outcomes.

Contribute to academic conferences, grand rounds, and faculty development activities.
Qualifications

Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Licensure & Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine; eligible for Alabama medical licensure.

Experience: Previous academic or teaching experience preferred; strong interest in medical education required.

Skills: Excellent clinical, communication, and leadership abilities with a passion for mentorship and lifelong learning.
