The ideal candidate will assist the pharmacist with daily operations, provide excellent customer service, and accurately process prescriptions. Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software and the ability to communicate in Spanish are highly preferred to better serve our patient population.ResponsibilitiesAssist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription medicationsAccurately enter and process prescriptions using PioneerRx (preferred)Communicate with patients in English and Spanish regarding prescriptions and pharmacy servicesHandle insurance claims, prior authorizations, and third-party billingRequest refills and clarify prescriptions with prescribers as neededMaintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulationsManage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medicationsProvide friendly, professional customer service in person and over the phoneMaintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environmentComply with all California Board of Pharmacy and federal regulationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentRegistered Pharmacy Technician with the California Board of Pharmacy (required)Previous pharmacy technician experience requiredPioneerRx experience preferredSpanish-speaking skills preferred (or required, if applicable)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesAbility to multitask in a fast-paced, independent pharmacy settingSchedule & Work EnvironmentIndependent, community-focused pharmacyFull-time or part-time positions availableSome evenings or weekends may be requiredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceSupportive, team-oriented work environmentOpportunity for growth in an independent pharmacy setting
