This role is open to experienced Project Managers as well as Senior Project Engineers/Assistant Project Managers ready to take the next step.
The Premier Group is partnering with a well-established, employee-owned commercial general contractor that is expanding its Phoenix team and seeking an experienced Project Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of commercial construction projects while building a long-term career with a company where employees have the opportunity to become owners through its ESOP program.
The ideal candidate is a motivated construction professional who enjoys a collaborative, team-oriented environment and values the autonomy to lead projects from preconstruction through completion. This role offers the opportunity to make an impact, build strong client relationships, and continue developing professionally within a growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout, with the opportunity to oversee multiple projects depending on size and complexity.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, forecasting, contract administration, and change orders.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams.
- Lead project financials, billing, cost control, and overall project performance.
- Partner with Superintendents to ensure successful project execution, safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and support Project Engineers and junior team members as the team continues to grow.
Qualifications
- 2 years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Project Engineers with strong project management experience who are ready to step into a PM role are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with commercial projects such as education, medical office, nonprofit, faith-based, tenant improvement, or multifamily construction.
- Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
