Key Responsibilities
- Insurance Claims Management: Prepare, submit, and follow up on dental insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Patient Billing: Generate and distribute patient statements and collection notices.
- Accounts Receivable: Monitor and manage outstanding balances, including follow-up on unpaid claims and patient accounts.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, insurance guidelines, and internal policies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date billing records.
- Communication: Collaborate with insurance companies, dental office teams, and internal staff to resolve billing issues.
- Reporting: Produce regular reports on billing activity, collections, and outstanding receivables.
Qualifications
- Experience: Dental front desk experience not required — full training provided.
- Skills:
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn dental practice management software (Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional growth.
