Type: Internship (12 weeks, up to 20 hours per week)

About The Food & Beverage Department

The Food & Beverage Department at The Potter’s House provides high-quality culinary experiences that serve our congregation, staff, and community with excellence. From daily kitchen operations to large-scale ministry events, our team combines creativity, hospitality, and care in every meal we prepare.

We’re seeking a motivated Culinary Intern to join our kitchen team. This role offers hands-on experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety while learning directly from an experienced chef. It’s a great opportunity for aspiring culinary professionals to develop technical skills and gain insight into professional kitchen management in a faith-centered environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating during daily kitchen operations and events
  • Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen areas and follow all safety and sanitation standards
  • Learn and apply proper use and care of kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment
  • Support inventory organization, ingredient rotation, and supply tracking
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to ensure quality and presentation excellence
  • Participate in rotations across kitchen functions to gain broad exposure to culinary
  • operations
  • Uphold The Potter’s House standards of professionalism, hospitality, and confidentiality

What You’ll Bring

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Must provide two (2) non-family recommendation letters (teacher, pastor, or supervisor)
  • Interest in culinary arts, food service, or hospitality
  • Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods

  • Duration: 12 weeks, up to 20 hours per week
  • Schedule: Flexible within standard business hours; occasional evening or weekend event support may be required
  • Employment Requirements:
