Position Title: Evening Youth Staff Support Team Lead
The Post Youth Center is seeking a dependable, engaged, and mission-driven Evening Youth Staff Support Team Lead to provide leadership and oversight during evening programming.
The Evening Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that the evening shift operates effectively, youth remain engaged, scheduled programs and classes are delivered, volunteers are effectively utilized, and staff follow established expectations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Team Development & Supervision
- Promote a culture of learning, accountability.
- Ensure all scheduled evening classes, activities, and programs are conducted according to the daily schedule.
- Monitor programming to ensure youth are actively participating and appropriately supervised.
- Help staff remain engaged and intentional in their interactions with youth.
- Identify gaps in programming, staffing, or youth engagement and communicate concerns to the Executive Director.
- Help maintain a positive, structured, and welcoming environment throughout the evening.y, and continuous improvement
Staff Leadership & Support
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to evening staff.
- Ensure staff remain engaged with youth.
- Help staff remain on schedule and follow The Post's established policies and procedures.
- Address routine staff concerns professionally and provide appropriate direction.
- Bring significant, repeated, or unresolved staff concerns to the Executive Director.
- Provide the Executive Director with observations and recommendations regarding staff performance.
- Lead by example in professionalism, reliability, communication, and youth engagement.
Student Support & Conflict Resolution
- Serve as the first point of support for routine student and staff conflicts during the evening.
- Respond to student concerns with patience, consistency, and professionalism.
- Help de-escalate conflicts and restore a safe and respectful environment.
- Recognize when an issue requires Executive Director involvement.
- Immediately refer serious, ongoing, or sensitive concerns to the Executive Director.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality when handling youth and staff concerns.
Qualifications:
- Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and lead diverse teams.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
- Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Collaborative and flexible team player who can adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid drivers license with clean record

Days: Monday through Friday
Shift: 2pm to 8pm
Hours flexible to needs of position.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
