Duties

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in accordance with state and local laws.
• Follow traffic laws diligently, respond quickly to traffic changes, and execute emergency stop procedures when necessary.
• Maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior; perform routine vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Respond promptly to emergencies by following established emergency response procedures for transportation.
• Adhere strictly to transportation safety regulations and vehicle codes.
• Complete detailed logs of trips, incidents, and vehicle inspections accurately using written reports or digital systems.

Experience

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Proven experience driving in compliance with state and local laws.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, heavy lifting techniques, and transportation safety regulations.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to respond quickly to traffic changes and emergency situations with calmness and professionalism.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and handle equipment.
• Prior experience with policy knowledge.
