Duties
- Perform routine pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, and emptying skimmer baskets to maintain water clarity and hygiene
- Conduct regular pool inspections to identify issues with water chemistry, filtration systems, pumps, and other equipment
- Carry out mechanical repairs on pool equipment such as filters, pumps, heaters, and chlorination systems using hand tools and power tools
- Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs performed, and maintenance schedules for each client’s pool system
- Troubleshoot operational problems promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction
- Assist with opening and closing pools seasonally by preparing equipment and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Follow safety guidelines diligently during all maintenance activities to protect yourself and clients
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair pool equipment effectively
- Experience with pool maintenance tasks including cleaning, chemical balancing, and system inspections
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely for equipment repairs and installations
- Knowledge of pool chemistry principles to maintain proper water quality standards
- Service technician experience preferred; ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills for managing multiple service appointments
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude
