POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Audio-Visual Technician to support the operation, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual and related technology systems in a fast-paced hospitality and events environment. This role helps ensure successful meetings, entertainment, and special events by providing timely technical support, maintaining equipment readiness, and partnering effectively with operations and leadership teams.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Set up, test, operate, monitor, and break down audio-visual equipment for meetings, events, entertainment, and special functions.
· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and equipment issues onsite and, when applicable, remotely.
· Support microphones, speakers, projectors, LED displays, media playback systems, streaming tools, presentation systems, and other event technology.
· Perform routine inspection, cleaning, transport, storage, and preventive maintenance of AV equipment in accordance with company procedures.
· Coordinate technical needs with management and cross-functional teams, including events, food and beverage, and other operational partners.
· Maintain accurate inventory, maintenance records, repair logs, and equipment status documentation.
· Assist with new equipment deployments, upgrades, testing, and process improvements that support operational efficiency and guest experience.
· Provide timely, professional support during events and respond to urgent technical needs as business demands require.
· Attend staff meetings
· Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
· Experience supporting audio-visual equipment, event technology, or related technical systems in a customer-facing environment.
· Working knowledge of sound systems, microphones, projectors, displays, cabling, and common presentation or media software.
· Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, performers, vendors, and leadership.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
· Availability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call support.
· Coursework, certification, or formal training in audio-visual technology, information technology, networking, electronics, or a related field.
· Experience in hospitality, live events, entertainment, restaurant, or venue operations.
· Familiarity with digital audio consoles, wireless systems, video distribution, or streaming platforms.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· This position works in a hospitality and event environment that requires standing and walking for extended periods; frequent bending, reaching, carrying, and moving equipment; and lifting to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
