Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and organized Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations across our Salem and East Lyme locations. In this role, you will work closely with the leadership team to manage staff, ensure top-tier food quality, and deliver an outstanding guest experience. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator, a natural problem-solver, and a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations: Oversee floor operations during shifts, ensuring excellent guest service, food safety compliance, and efficient order fulfillment.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support front-of-house and back-of-house staff. Assist with onboarding and training new team members to maintain high performance standards.
- Quality Control: Maintain strict adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and health department regulations.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve customer feedback or operational issues with a calm, professional, and de-escalated approach.
- Inventory & Cash Management: Assist with inventory tracking, ordering, and daily cash reconciliation as needed.
- Cross-Location Support: Coordinate and work effectively between both our Salem and East Lyme locations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a restaurant, catering, or hospitality environment.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, excellent time management, and a proven ability to lead a diverse team.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on professional and objective conflict resolution.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and reliable transportation to travel between the Salem and East Lyme locations.
- Certifications: ServSafe Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain it).
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour (depending on experience)
