This is a contract, on-site role for a Basketball Scout located in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. The Basketball Scout will be responsible for identifying and evaluating young basketball talent through attending games and events, compiling player reports, and maintaining communication with internal stakeholders. The role may also involve engaging with coaches, athletes, and families to build strong connections, and staying current with trends in the basketball scouting and recruiting industry.
- Strong Scouting and Basketball knowledge, with the ability to assess player talent and potential
- Excellent Communication skills to effectively engage with athletes, coaches, and stakeholders
- Experience or interest in Sports Management and basketball operations
- Passion for youth sports and familiarity with the competitive basketball landscape
- Willingness to travel locally and attend events in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field is a plus
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
