Rate: $105 - 120/hr
Introduction
We are seeking a senior Workday Accounting Center Consultant to support an established post-production environment. This is a backfill position focused on AMS support, issue resolution, stabilization, and incremental enhancements.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on Accounting Center experience and can independently troubleshoot complex rule logic, source data transformations, journal outputs, and data-quality issues.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Accounting Center SME for production incidents, stakeholder questions, and ongoing support needs.
- Perform root-cause analysis across accounting rules, journal creation, balancing behavior, source transformations, mappings, enrichment, and data quality.
- Manage defect triage and resolution, including issue replication, analysis, fix validation, and stakeholder communication.
- Deliver configuration enhancements, support regression testing and release validation, and maintain clear support documentation and runbooks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on Workday Financials experience with deep expertise in Accounting Center within an AMS or post-production environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot Accounting Center transformations, rule conditions, mapping logic, journal outputs, and related data issues.
- Experience supporting incident resolution, defect management, configuration changes, testing, and production releases.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings in clear business terms.
- Must successfully complete required credit and background checks.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Active Workday Accounting Center certification or recent equivalent delivery and support experience.
- Experience supporting hypercare, stabilization, subsequent-phase deployments, or long-term managed services.
- Experience with data enrichment, upstream integrations, mapping tables, joins, calculations, or Prism-related Accounting Center use cases.
- Previous Big Four or large consulting environment experience.
Additional Details
- W2 engagement is strongly preferred.
- C2C candidates may be considered if they are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident working through a multi-person corporation.
- Candidates must be available for 40 hours per week for the full contract period.
