We are partnering with our client on a search for a a Geotechnical Project Engineer responsible for leading and coordinating geotechnical engineering activities from the early planning stages through final delivery. The work will involve managing field investigations, performing stability and soil evaluations, providing construction-phase guidance, and supporting a wide range of infrastructure initiatives such as transportation corridors, structural foundations, and public facilities. Ensuring all geotechnical work products meet high technical standards, while also maintaining strong client communication and overseeing project financials.

Required:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Mining, or a related engineering field
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Geotechnical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and related experience
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Excellent computer skills, including at a minimum, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD
- Data Evaluation: Analyze and integrate complex field data and laboratory test results to guide project direction, ensuring the information used is precise, consistent, and dependable.
- Engineering Expertise: Utilize advanced geotechnical concepts to assess foundation systems, evaluate slope performance, estimate settlement, and develop tailored solutions for foundation design and ground improvement based on project needs.
- Communication: Maintain frequent communication with clients and subcontractors to keep projects on track, resolve concerns quickly, and support the companies growth by recognizing potential opportunities and nurturing ongoing client partnerships.
- Technical Reporting: Produce thorough technical documentation, develop detailed proposals, and actively support marketing and business development initiatives aimed at strengthening the firm's geotechnical presence.
- Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership by modeling company standards in safety, quality, risk, and project management, while mentoring geotechnical staff and creating a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment, such as:
- Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
- Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially long periods
- Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
- Working outside of normal business hours when necessary
