An Electrical Project Applications Engineer responsible for providing quoting, project coordination, and technical review efforts for modernization projects involving industrial switchgear and circuit breakers. This role is ideal for someone with OEM or electrical distribution experience who is comfortable working with drawings and specifications but is not focused on design.
Required:
- 1–4 years of experience in electrical project support, inside sales, applications, or proposals
- Experience working with or for an OEM or manufacturer of switchgear, breakers, or power distribution equipment (e.g., ABB, Siemens, Eaton, Schneider Electric, GE)
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (EE/EET)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications (no design required)
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards such as OSHA
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Support preparation of proposals, quotes, and bid packages for switchgear and breaker modernization projects
- Review customer specifications, RFQs, and electrical drawings (e.g., single-line diagrams)
- Assist in developing scope, pricing inputs, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with engineering, sales, and operations teams to ensure accurate deliverables
- Track project documentation, timelines, and customer requirements
- Communicate with internal teams and clients to clarify technical details
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA)
Pay: $90K - $120K
