Key Responsibilities
- Perform machine setup and changeovers according to production schedules and specifications.
- Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling and fixtures for various manufacturing processes.
- Conduct first-piece inspections and verify setup accuracy to ensure product quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions for precise machine configuration.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve setup efficiency and process reliability.
- Document setup parameters and procedures for future reference and continuous improvement.
- 3-5 years of experience in machine setup, changeovers, and process adjustments in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving equipment issues.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and quality control procedures (e.g., ISO, GMP).
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for fixture design or blueprint interpretation.
- Experience with PLC programming or basic automation troubleshooting.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience.
- Background as a Machinist or Tool & Die Maker.
