Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for new products.
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Specify, procure, and validate new equipment, tooling, and fixtures required for NPI.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process control plans.
- Manage and execute pilot production runs, analyzing data to identify and resolve process issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, quality, and efficiency during product introduction.
- Facilitate the smooth transition of new products from development to full-scale production.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or manufacturing engineering within a production environment.
- Proven expertise in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, optimize, and scale manufacturing processes for new products.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams through product launch cycles.
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies such as PFMEA, SPC, or Lean Manufacturing.
- Lean or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification
- Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software (e.g., Windchill, Agile)
- Experience with manufacturing simulation or process modeling tools
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
- Scripting or programming skills for data analysis and automation (e.g., Python, VBA)
