Key Responsibilities
- Lead the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and layouts for NPI projects.
- Collaborate with R&D and Design teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT).
- Manage pilot production runs, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to achieve target yields and quality.
- Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and BOMs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives during the NPI phase to enhance product quality, cost, and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to production teams on new product assembly and test procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical).
- Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Proficiency in developing, validating, and optimizing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and quality systems (e.g., FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis).
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., additive manufacturing, robotics, advanced automation).
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) or programming for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
