Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for material procurement, inventory control, and logistics.
- Oversee the planning and scheduling of materials to ensure continuous production and meet demand.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution.
- Optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring material availability and preventing stockouts.
- Lead and mentor the materials management team, fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies for all materials.
- Drive the effective utilization of ERP/MRP systems for material planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced inventory management software.
- Expertise in inventory control, demand planning, forecasting, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated ability in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a focus on cost reduction.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Proficiency with advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software
- Experience with international sourcing and logistics
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
