Key Responsibilities
- Optimize and manage inventory levels to ensure material availability and minimize carrying costs.
- Develop and implement robust material planning strategies, including forecasting and scheduling.
- Oversee warehouse operations, material handling, and storage efficiency.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics to ensure timely material flow.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in material management processes and systems.
- Utilize and optimize MRP/ERP systems for accurate material planning and control.
- Manage and develop the materials team, fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in materials management within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for inventory control, planning, and procurement.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, forecasting, production planning, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proven leadership, negotiation, and cross-functional communication skills.
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with advanced planning systems (APS) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) implementation
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience with global sourcing and international logistics management
