Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Verify incoming material against purchase orders, engineering drawings, and quality specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
- Document inspection results accurately, including acceptance, rejection, and detailed measurements.
- Identify, segregate, and label non-conforming materials, initiating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required.
- Maintain organized and accessible records of all inspection activities and material dispositions.
- Collaborate with purchasing and engineering to resolve material quality discrepancies with suppliers.
- 1-2 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify non-conforming materials.
- CMM operation or programming experience.
- Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems for material transactions and non-conformance reporting.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
- Advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) comprehension.
