Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and customer-specific requirements.
- Lead APQP activities and prepare PPAP submissions for new product launches and engineering changes.
- Conduct root cause analysis using 8D methodology and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop, maintain, and review FMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams.
- Monitor process performance through SPC and other statistical methods, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and support internal and external IATF 16949 audits, managing findings and non-conformances.
- Address customer quality concerns and facilitate timely resolution of quality issues.
- Provide training and guidance on quality tools and IATF requirements to manufacturing personnel.
- Deep expertise in IATF 16949 standard and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
- Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
- Experience conducting internal and supplier audits against IATF 16949 requirements.
- Strong understanding and practical application of statistical process control (SPC) and measurement system analysis (MSA).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Experience applying advanced problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Shainin Red X, Kepner-Tregoe)
- In-depth knowledge of specific OEM customer quality requirements (e.g., GM BIQS, Ford Q1, Stellantis CQI standards)
