Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct EHS risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees.
- Manage hazardous waste programs and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal.
- Oversee emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Maintain EHS records and prepare required reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS), Engineering, or a related science field.
- 5-10 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of OSHA, EPA, and state EHS regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence all levels.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation.
- Experience implementing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies in EHS processes.
- Proficiency with EHS management software (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera).
- Demonstrated experience with multi-site EHS management.
